Hi and welcome to hcb interiors!  Thank you for taking the time to stop by!

A little about me ~
  • I am lucky to be married to my best friend.  He is super supportive and has been a patient accomplice to all of my design & DIY ideas over the past 10 years (not to mention he knows how to make me laugh & is a cutie, to boot.  A keeper, for sure!)

  •  I am first & foremost a mommy to the two sweetest, smartest, funniest girls I know (no bias, right?)  All my life I dreamed of staying at home with my kiddos - to be able to do that & also follow my passion of interior design almost seems too good to be true.

  • I have loved interior design since I was too young to know what interior design was.  My fantastic parents gave me creative control of my room before I even hit my teens.  Think new wall colors every couple of years, moving heavy furniture on a whim, & all sorts of "decor" hanging from the ceiling (don't judge, I wasn't even in high school!)

  • My husband's Army career gave me plenty of experience at decorating houses & using what we have in a new way in each of the 7 (!) different houses we have called home in a 10 year span.  Friends & neighbors began to ask for my advice, and I finally decided to follow my passion & turn it into a career.  I have taken classes in design, staging, etc., but working with clients and gaining inspiration from the world around me have been my best learning experiences.

  • I lost my sweet angel mama right before Christmas 2011.  She was my best friend, & the center of our family.  Her gracious, optimistic view on life, along with her success at fulfilling most of her life dreams, are the main inspiration behind my decision to try to turn my passion into a business. I miss her every day, but hope to honor her life by living mine in a way that would make her proud.

  • My design goal is to help others turn their homes into functional, beautiful spaces that bring them joy.  I believe a home is more than just shelter - if designed correctly, it can become a valuable & sentimental part of your family's life.
